IMG_5553Elliott Sharp is a Philadelphia-based editor, writer, reporter, grant writer, publicist, content strategist, and copywriter. He is currently the assistant director of communications at the Fox School of Business at Temple University.

He previously worked as an editor, writer, and digital content manager for Red Bull Media House, the multi-platform media wing of the Austrian energy drink company. In addition to co-managing and launching redbull.com/music, he created content for the brand’s social media channels, magazine, record labels, music festivals, recording studios, art gallery and art initiatives, new music concert series, and television channel. He has also written for Urban Outfitters, the multinational clothing company.

His writing as a reporter and critic has been published by award-winning print and digital publications, including Philadelphia Inquirer, Village Voice, Philadelphia Magazine, Philadelphia City Paper, Metro, Vice’s Noisey, Magnet Magazine, Kindling Quarterly, MTV.com, The Onion/A.V. Club, The Awl’s Billfold, Tiny Mix Tapes, Flagpole Magazine, WXPN’s The Key, Full-Stop, and Philadelphia Weekly.

He has worked as a grant writer, copywriter, and marketing and communications specialist for arts, music, education, and community development nonprofits, including Catholic Social Services and Ars Nova Workshop.

He graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University with a bachelor’s degree in political science and philosophy, and from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, with a master’s degree in political science. He also taught philosophy at the University of South Carolina.
